Bering B145: first explorer HEEUS launched

M/Y HEEUS, the first superyacht in the exploration-oriented Bering B145 series, has just left the Antalya shipyard. At 44.20 metres long, designed and built in-house by Bering Yachts with a steel hull and aluminium superstructures, the new craft  boasts a volume of 499 GT and is specially designed for long-range cruising.

Commenting on the launch of the yacht, founder and Director of Bering Yachts Alexei  Mikhailov said: “We are very proud to have this first hull in the model range to be launched on the water. This will be the beginning of a new chapter for the Bering Yachts company”.

HEEUS can accommodate up to 12 guests and 10 crew members in 6 and 4 cabins respectively. The master cabin, on the other hand, is located on the main deck towards the bow, with glass windows measuring more than 9.5 square meters. The same deck houses a huge saloon with a dining area for all guests and a lounge area.

Another dining table is on the upper deck, in the sky lounge while the flybridge features a jacuzzi and a bar area. The Bering B145 is a semi-custom platform and has enabled the HEEUS to have a spacious beach club with a garage of over 25 square meters.

The B145 is powered by two Caterpillar C32 Acert engines which deliver a top speed of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12. The superyacht is also equipped with a hybrid propulsion system. The propeller is driven by electric motors charged by a bank of batteries. Docking and mooring is possible in the electric mode.

An autonomous range in excess of 5000 nm ( thanks to the 95,600L fuelt ank capacity) and the “ice belt”, will allow the owner to travel fearlessly to any destination on the globe.
