Vanquish VQ115 Veloce: the new ultra-fast superyacht

Vanquish VQ115 Veloce is the new ultra-fast aluminium superyacht from the famous Dutch boatyard. At 35 metres long, she owes her genesis to a heated discussion between a regular client and Tom Steentjes, the famous founder of Vanquish Yachts. The original plans were to build a VQ90, but the owner soon added an extra cabin, a dining area on the lower deck and two garages, taking the project to a much larger size.

But despite her size, the VQ115 Veloce doesn’t give up her racer soul, even though she continues to offer the comfort that distinguishes this yard. In fact, the motoryacht is fitted with three MTU-Rolls-Royce 2650 engines, the largest available, which will allow it to reach a maximum speed of over 50 knots.

Studio Delta in Holland, given the size and speed of the yacht, had to develop deflectors on the hull to direct splash towards the stern, while increasing comfort and performance. Two gyroscopic stabilizers will ensure comfortable cruising even at high speeds.

The three engines will be arranged in a trapezium, leaving plenty of space aft for the garage, which will house a VQ16. The tender will be launched by a dedicated system and a hydraulic platform will facilitate access to the sea. A VQ11 jet ski will be housed in another garage to starboard, where there will also be a live bait tank, paddle boards, sea bobs and other water toys.

The foredeck features a relaxation and dining area and the sunbeds can be raised to create a saltwater Jacuzzi.

The exterior lines of the VQ115 Veloce are inspired by other Vanquish models. The interior has a futuristic style that echoes the exterior design. The furniture in the main saloon can be moved to suit different situations and there is also an office area with its own pantry and cocktail bar.

On the flybridge, matching floors create a feeling of continuity between the exterior and interior spaces.

On the lower deck there is a U-shaped galley and dining area as well as a room with a television and quality sound system. The owner can sleep in his full-beam master suite, while the others on board will have a VIP cabin and a guest cabin, each with private head.

The VQ115 Veloce will be delivered to the Hamptons in 2022 and other owners have already shown great interest in this new and very special model.
