Boot Düsseldorf 2021 has been cancelled

Boot Düsseldorf 2021 will not take place, it is now postponed until next year when, we hope, the pandemic will be over. Messe Düsseldorf, the show’s promoter, has decided to cancel this edition and schedule the next one in a year’s time, thus breaking its promise to hold the boat show from 17 to 25 April.

Yes, because if on the one hand respecting the original dates of the show, which would start tomorrow, was considered an almost remote possibility, given the second wave of Coronavirus that was overwhelming all of Europe during last autumn, on the other the postponement to spring didn’t seem like a gamble

In the meantime, however, the number of infections has risen again, hence the painful and final decision of the organizers to cut the head off by moving the event directly to January 22-30, 2022.

”The continuing high level of infection and the fact that the end of the lockdown is not foreseeable for the time being make a resumption of trade fair operations at the end of April appear increasingly unrealistic- said Wolfram N. Diener, CEO of Messe Düsseldorf –We have reassessed the situation with our partners and jointly decided to cancel boot 2021 early. Our priority is the health and planning security of our exhibitors, visitors and service providers. All activities will now be focused on the successful staging of boot 2022”.

The aim is for the world’s largest indoor boat show to return in a year’s time to be the reference event in Europe for all boat and water sports enthusiasts.

“We’re looking forward to open the doors for boot Düsseldorf from 22 to 30 January 2022 and to experience unforgettable adventures. – The organization say – With international exhibitors, great on-site activities and a fantastic stage programme, boot Düsseldorf will relive magical watersports moments”.
