Moonrise, Feadship’s superyacht evolution is even more refined and quieter

Her profile has an understated, no-frills elegance while maintaining a distinctive style. Moonrise, Feadship’s new superyacht, has just left the Dutch shipyard’s headquarters in Makkum and is ready to ply the oceans to make herself the envy of ports around the globe. For the world’s leading custom superyacht builder, which thus enriches its portfolio of luxury yachts over 100 meters, the new Moonrise is an evolution of the model built in 2020. The improvements concern aesthetics, comfort, and performance, but the superyacht’s DNA is the same – refined and authentic – as its predecessor. With an overall length of 101 meters and a beam of 15.5 meters, the new Moonrise is the ultimate expression of Feadship’s forward-thinking approach. While retaining Studio De Voogt’s typical exterior lines and Rémi Tessier-designed interiors, the vessel sets a new standard through technological improvements, reconfiguration of exterior spaces, and an innovative superstructure devoid of typical satellite domes. One of the best aesthetic features of the new Moonrise is its uninterrupted silhouette, achieved by integrating Starlink satellite receivers directly into the superstructure. This design choice eliminates the need for visible domes, traditionally used on large vessels to house VSAT and TVRO antennas. The previous Moonrise had five such domes, while in the new version, this absence incredibly enhances the yacht’s streamlined, minimalist profile. moonrise In addition to cleaner lines, Moonrise features a taller mast and an extended day deck, which houses an entire wellness space with a massage area, gymnasium, and beauty and hair salon. All of the superyacht ‘s exterior decks have been lengthened from the previous version, offering more generous spaces for entertainment and relaxation. A spacious swim platform provides direct access to the sea, enhancing the vessel’s attractiveness. Details on Moonrise’s interior, once again overseen by renowned designer Rémi Tessier, remain strictly confidential, but there is no doubt that they will ensure the same level of elegance and bespoke craftsmanship that defined the 2020 version. Among the new features confirmed by the shipyard are a private cinema on the bridge deck and a reserved deck for the owner. moonrise In addition to aesthetics, the new Moonrise strives to elevate on-board comfort and sustainability through engineering advances. The yacht‘s naval architecture, developed by Feadship De Voogt Naval Architects, has been meticulously refined to provide optimal stability and comfort, both under sail and at anchor. Significant attention has been paid to reducing internal and underwater noise, achieving a jaw-dropping result through exclusive innovations such as the latest generation propellers, specially designed to reduce noise emission. In addition, Moonrise has an anchor winch never before seen on the market, which further suppresses vibration and noise and optimizes the chain path to ensure operational efficiency. Now that it has come out of the shipyard shed, Moonrise is in the interior fitting-out phase, during which final touches will also be made to on-board systems and services. Sea trials are scheduled for the next few months, after which the vessel will be handed over to its owner.
