In the heart of Ajman, a new infrastructure is taking shape, set to make a significant impact on the large yacht industry in the United Arab Emirates. The Superyacht Service Centre (SYSC) has in fact completed its final operational phases, with the activation of key infrastructure and the commissioning of its main technical capabilities. This milestone marks the centre’s entry into a strategic phase and consolidates its role among the most advanced refit and maintenance facilities for superyachts in the region.
Designed to meet the growing demand of the Middle Eastern yachting market, SYSC represents a natural and strategic evolution of the path undertaken by Gulf Craft Group, a company that for over forty years has been synonymous with excellence in shipbuilding and maritime services. With this new facility, the group significantly strengthens the United Arab Emirates’ national capacity to provide maintenance services for luxury yachts, further contributing to positioning the country as a global hub of reference for superyacht support.

Superyacht Service Centre: cutting-edge facility and services
One of the key elements demonstrating the centre’s full operational capacity is the commissioning of a 600-ton mobile travel lift supplied by Cimolai. The system enables heavy-lift marine operations and allows yachts of up to 60 metres in length to be handled efficiently and safely. Supporting daily maintenance activities, a 75-ton mobile crane is also available, completing the facility’s technical equipment.
From an infrastructure standpoint, the centre features deep-water berths with a six-metre draft and a purpose-built service quay capable of accommodating up to eight yachts simultaneously. SYSC operates through an integrated ecosystem of services that includes administrative offices, specialised workshops, technical support areas and secure storage spaces for equipment. In-house teams provide comprehensive refit and maintenance services, including mechanical work, certified structural repairs, painting, carpentry and interior refurbishment.

The inauguration of the Superyacht Service Centre (SYSC) comes at a particularly dynamic growth phase for the yachting sector. The facility has been designed to deliver maintenance and support services to yachts operating in the Middle East and the Indian Ocean, as well as those transiting towards the Mediterranean and along the main connected shipping routes, thereby capturing strategic traffic flows within the large yacht segment.
With the opening of SYSC in Ajman, the United Arab Emirates further strengthens its presence in the international maritime industry. At the same time, the centre represents a significant milestone in the journey of Gulf Craft Group, which began in Ajman and has evolved to the construction of some of the most prestigious superyachts in the world.
