“Leopard Yachts” is reborn in the Seven Stars shipyard

Seven Stars Marina & Shipyard is bringing the famous “Leopard Yachts” brand back to the market
with a new, sporty and elegant 36-meter model.

Render #2 Leopard 36mPisa, 22nd April 2021.Seven Stars Marina & Shipyard presents to the press the new 36-meter Leopard, an impressive yacht that provides the backdrop for the press conference held at the shipyard’s headquarters. Born from the entrepreneurship of the Picchiotti family in 1973, the historic Leopard Yachts shipyard is now the protagonist of a re-launch project inaugurated by Seven Stars’ acquisition of the Tombolo shipyard.

It is precisely this shipyard, located along the historic Canale dei Navicelli between Pisa and the Port of Livorno, that launched the last Leopard models and has now moved on to a shipbuilding project that favours the production of custom-made yachts.

The restart operation of the Leopard Yachts brand includes all the necessary investments to produce new lines of boats of different sizes. In fact, in addition to this first 36-meter model, a 24-meter and a 46-meter yacht are also being planned. Each project will be customized ad hoc on the customer, involving different skills and an heterogeneous work group, from engineers to naval architects, up to specialized craftsmen.

Italian designer Andrea Bacigalupo, a pupil of Paolo Caliari (who designed the brand’s very first model) who worked closely on many of the successful Leopard Yachts motor yachts is now the author of this new 36-meter superyacht. His project is devoted to enhancing the Italian spirit in the world, placing itself in continuity with what the previous owner had done: Leopard yachts are recognisable from a distance and appreciated by those who love the sea and want to sail fast. Relaunching a historic brand like Leopard is an impossible task if you don’t have in-depth nautical know-how: this is why Seven Stars has decided to take up this challenge. This is a fast 36-meter yacht which, completely open and airy, places the master cabin on the main deck and includes an important sun deck that is almost invisible from the sea: refined technology, high comfort and low consumption are the distinctive features of the project.

“ We are proud of this investment that comes from the common will of a team of entrepreneurs to revive a historic brand of Italian nautical science and Made in Italy – states Davide Mugnaini, CEO and Partner of Seven Stars Marina & Shipyard – Leopard Yachts intends to meet the needs of the best ship owners on the market, thanks to its design and production excellence, and its attention to every detail. Having a new Leopard will be a privilege, an experience that will be unique from the moment of the purchase choice”.

Render #4 Leopard 36m“Each new Leopard will be a unique piece, the result of Seven Stars’ expertise in shipbuilding,
respecting the heritage of the Brand and the values it has always represented – continues
Mugnaini – A solid path that will include, in addition to an important communication, careful commercial activity aimed at the first potential customers, to whom the project will be presented and the possibility of personalizing it thanks to the knowledge and passion that we will put in place. In the commercial activity we will be supported by TWW Yachts thanks to an agreement that will allow us to offer our owners a 360 ° service that goes beyond the simple sale of the boat, but will include, if the owner wishes, support in the construction process, boat management, fundamental maintenance services and everything that will serve to best satisfy his needs”.
