Baglietto TLine 52 m: the keel has been laid

Baglietto TLine: the first 52 metre keel was laid

The ceremony for the Baglietto TLine‘s hull number 10238 keel laying, the first of 52m of the new generation of TLine yachts signed by Francesco Paszkowski Design, took place just before the Christmas holidays.

The ceremony was held in the owner’s presence, connected in streaming, and all the shipyard workers, in compliance with the anti-Covid-19 prevention regulations. The keel-laying with the hull blessing was followed by the Christmas Mass celebrated in the yard.

Baglietto TLine 52 Metre

The Baglietto TLine 52 Metre hull no. 10238 is a yacht that draws inspiration from Baglietto‘s tradition – preserving its most classical stylistic features – but reinterprets it in a modern, contemporary key.

In particular, this vessel – below 500 GT – is characterized by significant design innovations both forward and aft. The stern has been completely restyled and is now open, with a beach club on three different levels.

The large pool can be “hidden” by an original up/down moving flooring system. Inside, the salon’s floor-to-ceiling glazing ensures a constant contact with the sea even when living indoors.

Definitely worth a special mention is the sky lounge on the upper deck, which can be opened on three sides, leaving the windows completely concealed. A retractable ladder directly connects the sun deck and the upper deck at the bow, making the latter a natural extension of the former.

The yacht will be equipped with a standard hybrid propulsion system that will allow to choose a more efficient navigation mode, reducing both costs and environmental impact. When cruising in electrical diesel mode, the Baglietto TLine 52 will have a range of up to 7,600 nm and will be able to remain at anchor for up to 10 hours relying on the batteries only. However, her two MTU 16V2000M86 engines will also allow her to reach quite an impressive maximum speed of 17 knots and a range of 3,600 nm in traditional navigation mode.

About Baglietto

There are nine yachts currently under construction in the La Spezia and Carrara factories: in addition to hull 10238, hulls no. 10233 of 48m and 10235 of 38m and hulls no.10231 of 54m, the M / Y Panam and the M / Y Run Away soon to be delivered.

At the Carrara shipyard, however, hulls no. 10236 of 42m and the first model of DOM133 in speculation. The construction of hull no.10237, twin of the 52m TLine, has also started in speculation with delivery in 2023.

Italian boatbuilder Baglietto Spa, based in La Spezia, specializes in the construction of new aluminum light alloy yachts ranging between 35 and 50 meters in length and steel and light aluminum alloy displacement mega-yachts starting 40 meters.

The shipyard plants and workshops now occupy an area of 35,000 square meters in La Spezia (headquarter), and three new covered plants for the building of motor-yachts up to 65 meters in length plus two piers allowing to moor motor-yachts of up to 70 meters have been completed.

The project – which has implied many years of restoration works – means that the shipyard can now rely on a new 3,600 sq. m basin with two 85 m docks, resulting in a larger number of available berths. Moreover, the operational headquarters in Carrara can count on two areas of 5,000 square meters each. These areas are dedicated to the construction of the military vessels under the BAGLIETTO NAVY flag, and four brand new sheds are fully dedicated to up to 50m new buildings.
