Rosetti Superyachts enters the market with a 85 meters superyachts

To transfer the DNA of the Rosetti shipyard’s commercial ships, their reliability and extraordinary capability of sailing in all weather conditions to superyachts manufacturing. These is the conceptual basis which underlies the 85-metre expedition supply vessel concept developed by designer Tommaso Spadolini in co-operation with Rosetti Superyachts.

“ A fundamental part of the design process – the Italian designer claimed – was reviewing the many commercial ships launched by Rosetti to date. These rugged, seaworthy vessels are required to operate around the clock in all weathers”.

The Spadolini’s words are supported by the first pictures of the 85-metre vessel, where the influence of the design and building tradition of the historic shipyard is clearly expressed by generous outside volumes, great functionality, luxury interiors and décor.

The concept is offered in two different versions, with a helipad located amidships or aft. The aft helipad configuration offers the possibility to stow a sailing yacht amidships without interfering with helicopter operations. Both versions can carry large tenders on deck, which are one of the main hallmarks of an expedition support vessel.

The boat encloses five decks, with the lower one entirely dedicated to the crew members and equipped with a galley, a living area and a lounge.

The main deck, on the contrary, houses four guest cabins and an additional crew cabin while the full-beam master suite is located at the bow, equipped with en-suite bathroom, walk-in closet and private dining room. The forward section of the upper deck, too, is dedicated to the owner with a studio and a private access to the swimming pool. An additional lounge located aft functions as a media room and sky lounge.

The lower deck comprises a laundry, cold/freezer room, garbage room, workshop and other technical areas.

“ One of the fundamental criteria of this project – stated Fulvio Dodich, Chairman of Rosetti Superyachts – is that we have wanted to develop a design that combined Tommaso Spadolini’s creativity with my knowledge of the market while meeting the technical criteria required by Class for unrestricted navigation“.

The concept represents the first step in the direction wanted by Rosetti Marino Group, which, at the end of November, had announced the start of a highly ambitious project through the launch of Rosetti Superyachts.

Established in 1925, the company has established itself as one of the main global leaders in the engineering and construction of a wide range of commercial ships from tugs to passenger ferries. Quoted on the Milan stock exchange, it comprises 1,200 employees, 18 societies, 9 branches and, in 2016, it registered a turnover of 213 million euros.

Rosetti Superyachts is solid, active reality which has decided to entrust Fulvio Dodich and his experience in the superyachts market with the guide of an ambitious plan which is expected to result in the construction of supply vessels, expedition yachts and luxury superyachts from 45 to 150 meters.
